Nature-watching in Europe resulted from my attempts to plan trips for bird-watching, butterflies, botany, hiking, etc. Anything to do with natural history.
My trips to Europe started in 1988. Back then, information was hard to find. At times, I’m not sure that the internet has made it much easier now!
But sometimes there is so much information, hidden away in so many places, that it is hard to know where to start.
And then, there is the question of when is the best time to go.
So this website is a mixture of my own experiences of looking for wildlife and nature in Europe, and the results of my trawling for relevant information about an area, or a species.
